Reseña del libro "56 Years: Two Journeys: How a Lutheran became Ignatian in his Years at Boston College and how Boston College stayed Ignatian as (en Inglés)"

This is a story of one person's journey through Boston College from 1960 to 2016 and also the journey of Boston College as seen through that person's eyes. A young Lutheran came in with a fair degree of skepticism as to whether he would last at a Catholic school He retired after 56 years with a deep appreciation for the gift of Ignition spirituality. Boston College evolved from a commuter college for first-generation college students to a cosmopolitan university of international acclaim. The author's path included learning to cope with failure and then with some success. Along the way he learned to appreciate what he calls the fallacy of time management and the joy that comes from giving. The journey of Boston College included surviving a financial crisis in 1968-72 and a determined effort to maintain its Catholic and Jesuit identity as it grew in stature. The process of maintaining that identity, and discerning what it means to be Catholic and Jesuit with a diverse faculty that includes fewer Jesuit priests, was not an easy one.
