I have studied in my Ocean Focus classes about learning to co-exist with the animals around us. As I continued to research these animals, exciting memories of my encounters with some of them flashed back into my mind, starting when I was young and up to the most recent times when I was on field studies and on trips. Some of those interesting incidents I have told and retold to my students, family, and friends. So, I put them into writing, hoping they could bring smiles and laughter to even more people. Some of the stories might make you uncomfortable. I've cherished those animal encounters, although in some situations, I acted a bit crazy, like the day the leech was on my leg. My mom and dad got a few chuckles from that story.
