Any disorder that affects the joints is called arthritis. There are over 100 different types of arthritis. Some common forms are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, etc. The most common feature of all kinds of arthritis is pain. Exercises aimed at improving muscle strength, flexibility and endurance can be more effective than medications.
