When Sheriff Nick Lash is assigned to BLUES as a reprimand for a questionable bust in Boise, he quickly realizes the potential of these brilliant malcontents. He and his partner soon get the idea to ask the students to create computer software that will help them solve a rash of car thefts taking place in southern Idaho. The students accept the challenge-but their success triggers a tragic sequence of events that leaves one student dead and leads Jake to a terrifying confrontation with the man who took everything from her. Will Jake meet the same tragic end as her family? Does she have what it takes to face a cold-blooded killer?
