Reseña del libro "Born to Die"

Skye Adams is starting her Sophmore year in high school, and like many other girls in her small Northern California town, she has dreams of becoming a famous Hollywood Actress. Although she was recently diagnosed with Kidney disease which prevents her from leading a normal life and knowing the chances of success in Hollywood are slim, her biggest obstacles are her low self-esteem and severe social anxiety. Too embarrassed to even admit her dreams to anyone, she feels she will never be able to make the change within herself that will give her the courage she needs to go after her dream. The town seems stagnant with nothing to offer, that is until Jesse Steele; a new guy from L.A. arrives and takes an immediate interest in Skye. After a few chance encounters, she cannot deny their strong connection, and she finds his ambitious nature and positive attitude to be infectious. Skye immerses herself into Jesse's wild world of racing and running around with the Branson Gang. Although her parents disapprove of him and see him as no good, Skye knows this is not true. As they become closer, they admit their love for one another and become inseparable. Jesse's love for Skye is proven when he risks his own life to give her a new one. Now, Skye can go after her lifelong dream, but because of Jesse's involvement with the Branson gang, it may be too late.
