Reseña del libro "Chasing Eternity (en Inglés)"
From his homeland of England, in the year of our Lord 1097, Colin Harcourt embarks on a crusade to the Holy Land where he is given the task of stripping the dead of their valuables. One particularly bloody day a dying Arab mystic thrusts an amulet upon him. After Colin returns to England he realizes the effects of this mysterious gift when years go by and he does not age, nor can he die. As centuries pass he is forced to watch his family and friends pass away. He tries to give the scarab away but learns he cannot escape its grasp. He can only hope one day the talisman will release its hold on him. After all, the cursed necklace allowed his predecessor the decency of death. Jaded by his immortality, Colin goes in search of dangerous distractions. He ends up in the Americas and fights on the side of the colonists during the Revolutionary War. A traitor in the eyes of the British Colin can't return home to England. He stays in the Americas and in the early nineteenth century, finds himself in the arms of Beth, the granddaughter of a war hero. She teaches him that in this life he must fight for what's important, even if he can't keep those things forever. Could the twenty first century hold the key to his demise or will the scarab continue to propel him into the future?
