Colors Wash Over Me is a compilation of poetry by students in the Charleston, SC area. It is the culmination of a year of poetry workshops led by seven local poets in Charleston, SC's POETS IN SCHOOLS program. The program was created by Marcus Amaker - Charleston, SC's first Poet Laureate. He also designed the book. This publication and the POETS IN SCHOOLS program were made possible by the Academy of American Poets with funds from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
