It is essential in our spiritual understanding of our relationship with Jesus and why the Apostle Paul considered this as the basis for our belief and choice to be a Christian.Most evangelical, born again, Christians do not have a complete understanding of Eternal Life. It goes beyond what we label as worship. It is more than raising hands and singing. It embodies all that we are as Christians and our Christian lives and living. We see it as something that won't occur until we die but it is much more than that. The ultimate goal of being a Christian is accepting Jesus as our savior and allowing Him to transform us from sinners to saints. This is the goal He has in mind so that He can present us as an unspotted wrinkle free church to God in the last day. Yes His goal is for it to be here on earth as it is in heaven. He wants us to learn to be like Him and then He can provide us with power from on high so that we can be enabled to do the same things He did and even greater. Eternal life began at baptism for those who truly repent. It is the start of us on the road to learning His ways and being His righteousness here on earth. It is working toward being perfect just as Jesus is perfect. It is about learning and performing the same work as He did. It is about learning to love God with all your heart mind and strength and loving our neighbor as ourselves. It is about letting Jesus remove the sinful self and replacing it with His righteousness. It is about Him making us into a spiritual church so that we can worship in spirit and in truth. so many have been misled by wrong teaching and what I call the feel good gospel. If you really want to know what it takes to be the Church this book will provide insight into this. We have to come to understand that it is not what we do but the reason behind what we do that is important. If we are not working to establish His righteousness and doing all things to honor Him in Godly love we have missed the mark and our work is unacceptable to Him. It is not about just feeling good about what we do but learning to glorify Jesus and doing all things in Godly love.
