Both civilizations wrote in Hieroglyphs (Petraglyphs existed in Hawaii), built Pyramids, and had blood sacrifice rituals. Both had vegetarian diets from Osiris/Quetzalcoatl. The original people of Egypt claimed to be from Atlantis, a city built on an artificial Lake - just like the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan.
