She begins by honoring Pastor Veryle Henriksen, the pastor who visited her family in their home in New Brighton, MN, and then walked by Paula's side through the death of her father, and the start of her caregiving years with her mother. She includes his life stories, including his near death experience on his family farm, which was his call to ministry.
