Four weary Seattle flight attendants work an all-night flight to the fictional Central American country of Quintana. Their reward is a seventy-five hour layover nestled in the secure confines of a plush beachside resort. Instead they are swept into a political coup led by Ramirez, an environmentalist landowner who sees a window of opportunity to topple the de facto military dictator who threatens his pristine estate--if he can coerce the crew to attempt a ruse more dangerous than a leap into a jaguar's den. Meanwhile Ramirez must protect them from Heinrich, his homicidal nephew, who as a boorish passenger was made the laughing stock of the first class cabin. Heinrich seeks to literally feed the crew to the sharks to avenge the insult.
