The structures of the 1,000-acre camp were quickly reduced to rubble and only a few foundations remain today. During the camp's forty-six year lifetime an astounding number of boys, over 100,000, experienced a camp program described by many as "informative and influential times" in their development. As young adult leaders many of the staff served as role models without recognizing their full influence on the campers. The experiences described are not unique to any one camp, public or private.
