The Author Bernard Green came to live in Runfold at theage of two. He attended East Street School in Farnham.This was followed by attending Heath End SecondaryModern School. It is now addressed as Heath End School, Farnham, Surrey.He was not aware that he was Dyslexic until he was in his20's. His difficulties at school has not hindered him in anyway as he has travelled extensively having been in theMerchant Navy, Royal Engineers, a Skydiving Instructor, and a Commercial Hot Air Balloon pilot.In 1970 Bernard purchased his property in the Sandsvillage and married his wife Peggy on 23rd May 1980.He then settled down with his wife to operate a famoustransport café at Runfold called Alf's Café.In this book are stories that relate to his father's activitiesin WW2 in the Black Market. Also are his activities as achild and observations about life in a rural environmentduring the war years.His interest in writing only started on retirement in 2012with writing poetry and he became a 'runner-up' in a DailyTelegraph International competition.
