Franklin is a deeply troubled boy who discovers a lifeline in school sports. After meeting at a Hollywood High School function in 1967, they embark on a two-year love affair that ends in calamity and heartbreak. Their lives take separate paths with Franklin eventually finding his way to the NFL, and Gaby persevering in her own special purpose. But each will uncover ultimate reclamation in a magical and most unlikely way.
