This parallel disclosure will help both those living with their own mental illness diagnosis and those who care for someone diagnosed or in the pre-diagnosis phase. Their story starts in their late teens, their dating relationship and continues into mid-life adulthood.Tracy and Tom also share their experiences within the faith community. They are able to share from the unique perspective as members and leaders in that community - their struggles, disappointments, encouragement, and hopes for the future in which the church invests in education and providing emotional, physical and spiritual support to those with mental health concerns. A study guide is included designed to promote understanding of mental illness. It can easily be used by individuals or small groups in an 8 session/chapter format.
