TRULY, I TELL YOU ... Jesus said, "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life..." The fact that the person who actually is "The Truth" is speaking to us is a very compelling reason to stop and take note of His words but, when He speaks these words and adds the word "truly" to His statement it is particularly noteworthy. When I started this examination of Jesus' words I found approximately eighty times this phrase was recorded in the Bible. That's eighty pieces of advice spoken by Truth Himself. I have combined the details of each statement found in the four gospels and summarized them in forty "Truly" lessons (4 volumes of 10 chapters each, released in 2 books). Join me as we consider this advice and, as noted in Luke 9:43-45, allow it to "sink into our ears"- for use today and days yet to come. Also, each "Truly Lesson" has a section inspired by my daughter's experience with truly words called, "My Umbrella". This is a place you can journal your own personal experience of how the "truly" words have challenged you, enlighten you, and deepened your faith. Each lesson has study questions/activities for personal use or use in a small group setting. Finally, I have included small group tips, Bible study tips and information on how to belong to God's family. And "truly, I tell you", when you seek Him, He is faithful to respond.
