He is separated from his beloved mother Elsa when he is sent to the Netherlands along with his sister Hannah, in a desperate move to escape the persecution and save their lives. Alec is shocked when he finds that he was actually adopted by the Rosenthal family. His natural mother was a German maid who worked for the Rosenthals before the Nazis took over. His aim in life now is to find both his foster mother and his birth mother, and to take revenge on his enemies.
