Only it's not orcs who take the girl this time. It's a strike force of skilled dark elves. Without realizing it, Garrith has stumbled headlong into a millennia-old dark-elf plot to restore their dominance over the "lesser races"-human, elf, and dwarf alike. To realize this demented dream, the dark elves must make a sacrifice to their overlord, the demon Zerlothax-a very specific sacrifice with a collarbone birthmark. It falls to Garrith, an elf from the forests of Meno'leth, and a warrior from the dwarven halls of Humeldin to save Krisa. If they fail, a new age of horrors will descend upon the land.
