Nicholas Turner and several others are at Prisca Delacroix's safe house on Barrier's Edge just outside of Grenoble, France. in the year 2018. Beneath it is the remnants of an ancient, uninhabited, underground temple with ancient books hidden away because of the information they contain. Our Peregrines must go on an all-out hunt to find the five lost keys which open these ancient texts, all while the search for the missing Peregrine known only as Eleven, and her strange travel companion, continues.
